In 2020, the global pandemic has been announced known as COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019). Human activities had stopped for while in order to protect themselves. Many cities turned out to be quiet during pandemics but the blue sky and singing birds. Despite that, the pandemic has had a major effect on our lives. Many of us are facing tough challenges that can be stressful, overwhelming, and cause strong emotions in adults and children.
The pandemic has taken a lot of people's mental health. We do know that pandemic makes our mental decreasing. People from all walks of life have experienced stress throughout the pandemic, from frontline workers who are overwhelmed with work, to young people who can't go to school. It is understandable to feel scared, anxious, hopeless, or helpless during this uncertain time. However, whatever situation we are facing and wherever we are in the globe, we have to look after our mental health and well-being. So maintaining our mental health during pandemics is a must.
The first one to keep maintaining our mental health is to do something for you. One way to improve our mental health is to keep busy. If we are self-isolating, learning a new skill can be a great way to improve our mental wellbeing by increasing our sense of purpose. Whether it is writing, cooking, making content, or learning a new language which is using our time to take up something of interest to you can keep the mind active and focused.
Stay connected to others. If there are restrictions on meeting people in person, or you don't feel safe doing so, there are other ways to stay in touch known as social media. Yes, e-mail, phone calls, or video calls are good ways of being close to the people who matter to you. Moreover, talking to someone you trust, whether a friend, a family member or a colleague can help you to maintain your mental.
Stay active. Taking part in regular exercise has been found to improve not only physical health but also mental health too. Studies have shown regular physical activity reduces anxiety and depression across all age groups. Whether you are limited to indoor activities only or have a garden or outdoor area that you can use, there are many ways to remain active and safe during the pandemic. Workouts and exercises such as yoga or stretching can be found online. These can be completed online that require minimal equipment or time.
Well, that's all for today mates. Keep in mind that one day the pandemics will be over soon. Once it's over, we can go back to normal life like before the pandemic. However, since the pandemic is still hunting us, maintaining our mental health is mandatory. Thank you for your time and have a nice day 😀.
