The Power of Music

Ah yes, who doesn't like hearing music. We recognise music since we were a baby from our mother, television, or any other music media. Archeologists found several rudimentary instruments, such as flutes, dating back to more than 35000 years ago. A few researchers stated that some archaeological finds actually date back to the Neanderthal period, proving that humankind discovered music way before we used to believe.

Today, music is like magic inside our bodies. It's difficult to stay away from music. We can all think of at least one song that, when we hear it, could trigger an emotional response. More of that, the power of music could do more than just an instrument. Such as:

Very effective for a stress reliever. When you are feeling stressed, you may find listening to your favourite music makes you feel better. According to some researchers, music may help relieve stress by lowering the body's cortisol levels (the hormone released in response to stress). Also, it could help reduce blood pressure, anxiety, and pain for any age.

Music strengthens learning and memory. Music can help to learn and recall information better. Musicians learned better with neutral music and tested better with positive music whereas non-musicians learned better with positive music and tested better with neutral music. Either way, music helped to strengthen learning and memory.

Music can increase verbal intelligence. A study has shown after one month of music lessons with children between the ages of 4 and 6, 90% significantly improved their ability to understand words and explain their meaning. This is very effective for somebody who wants to learn a foreign language.

Music can help sleep better. Listening to relaxing classical music for 45 minutes before bedtime slept better than listening to nothing at all. Also, it could reduce depression and insomnia symptoms.

Well mates, those are the power of music. Whenever you are stressed or depressed while working, put on your favourite track, have a little dance around. Music is not only a tone, but it's also an important cultural, mood booster, and social factor throughout human history. Thank you for reading and as always, have a nice day 😀.

Leader Vs Boss

Some people might use the terms "boss" and "leader" interchangeably, but that's not entirely accurate. The truth is, some bosses are simply a boss. They have attained a position in the management section of the corporate pyramid. Those positions alone don't make them leaders. They are just pushing their employers while "sitting down". However, bosses can become leaders, and doing so should become a priority for those who want to effectively lead in the workplace. So, what is the difference between a leader and a boss?   A boss refers to an individual who is in charge of the employee or an organisation. He exercises control over employees, assigns tasks, and duties to them, and is entitled to take decisions on some matters. There is no formal title like "boss" in the organisational chart, but the term indicates a person who is the owner or appointed as head of the organisation, department, or division.   On the other hand, the term lea

About Phubbing

In the Digital Era, smartphones have become the number one priority in society. When it comes to our smartphones, nothing else in our lives gets as much attention. A single notification can branch to half days only checking the status or short videos on social media. If we lose it, the stress starts to build up rapidly. Getting by without a smartphone really is not possible anymore, and from that other areas of our lives are bound to be affected.   Phubbing describes the act of "phone-snubbing". It is a term that most people might not be familiar with, but the action is certainly one we all recognise. If we are going outside let's say, how often have we been physically in the presence of someone, but they're emotionally "not there" because they are absorbed in their smartphone? Quite a lot, isn't it?   Smartphones and text messaging help partners display love and affection to each other when they are physically apart. However, what happens when smart

About Telekinesis

Have you ever dreamed to able moving objects around with your mind, like in a film? The power of telekinesis has captured the imagination of scientists, psychics, and fiction writers for centuries unproven by science.   So what is the definition of telekinesis? Telekinesis or psychokinesis refers to the alleged ability to move objects with the power of the mind or willpower, without physical interaction.   Telekinesis is from the Greek words, tele means "distant" and kinesis means "movement". If we combine together, it refers to the apparent ability to move physical objects using only the mind and without any physical interaction.   The idea of telekinesis has been in the imagination of fiction writers for ages, allowing the characters to demonstrate telekinetic abilities to move objects, restrain opponents, and levitate for dramatic effect.   However, many have claimed to have telekinetic abilities and believe that telekinesis is possible, but no one has yet be
